Geistfeld
Geistfeld
Welcome to the Geistfeld, a mysterious enclosed field haunted by a wrathful ghost. Explore and escape with help from Wisps 'o Blessings left behind by you and your predecessors. Escape the horrible Geistfeld by repairing an elusive trap door.
Gameplay
Top-down survival-horror with some asynchronous multiplayer.
- Explore a strange, haunted field, and find the necessary parts to repair your exit doorway.
- Banish the geist by making the sign of the cross to parry the ghost! Holiness repels evil... at least for a while.
- Death is not the end! Leave behind a wisp and a message to help other players.
- Experience cryptic, environmental story-telling and try to figure out the true nature of the Geistfeld.
- Gormfeld?

Labor of Love
All art, audio, and non-shader code was created originally for this jam.
The web server was written in TypeScript using Hono on the Deno runtime (I wanted to play with Deno 2.0 a little). As of right now, I'm using Deno's in-memory KV database to store the wisp information. It is currently hosted on Deno Deploy. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions about it.
The font is some random font I found and cannot remember where I got it, but it's terribly kerned and I would not recommend using it.
